Mystery Donor Gives Deaf Boy Gift of Sound

He was destined for a life of silence, but one-year-old Oliver Bosch, from Dundee, can now enjoy listening to his favourite tunes on his Peppa Pig headphones.

Oliver’s parents, Jemma, 37, and Ben, 29, learnt soon after his birth that he was deaf. They immediately began raising funds for a £60,000 operation abroad that could allow him to one day hear normally — as long as it was performed before the age of 2. Thanks to an anonymous donation of £30,000 the family were able to travel to Italy with time to spare.
